RAWHIDE LEATHER

QUICK DRAW MAG SHEATH

PLEASE NOTE: I USED TO OFFER OTHER SHEATH COLOR CHOICES BUT FOUND THAT ORDERING MY LEATHER ALREADY DYED BY THE TANNERY MAKES FOR A MORE CONSISTENT FINISHED COLOR WITH DEEPER DYE PENETRATION. IT'S ALSO BETTER FOR MY HEALTH. THEREFORE I HAVE DECIDED TO SWITCH TO TANNERY DRUM DYED MEDIUM BROWN AND BLACK ONLY. I CONSIDER THIS CHANGE A PRODUCT IMPROVEMENT. THANKS FOR YOUR UNDERSTANDING.

KNIFE SHEATH DESCRIPTION:

Why the name Quick Draw sheath? Well, you may have noticed that these knife sheaths do not have a "keeper strap". I intentionally designed them so that one is not needed due to the sheath's unique design combined with a precise fit, a high pressure (20 ton) wet molding process, and 2 hidden "rare earth" Neodymium magnets. These are the strongest permanent magnets on earth and they make the knife retention automatic. As a precaution when using magnets common sense should be used and they shouldn't be put in very close proximity to credit cards or sensitive electronic equipment. However having said that, they are covered by thick leather and I have yet to receive any negative feedback in this regard.

The hidden magnets (which by the way loses almost no measurable strength - even after decades) are an integral part of the sheath but there's nothing inside my sheaths that can scratch your knife. This sheath is made to last you a lifetime and with normal use and care you should be able to hand it down to your children... it's made that well. My sheaths can actually be held upside down and shaken and the knife doesn't fall out yet it still draws well.
